Hometown Communications - Media Intro (Or Green Screen Background)
Creation Process
Logo Base Construction
Created a vector ellipse shape layer and used guides and masking to divide it into four equal radial segments.
Color Application
Separated each segment into individual shape layers and applied a coordinated color palette.
Secondary Ring Construction
Precomposed the segmented circle, duplicated it, then scaled and rotated it 90° to create a secondary inner ring.
Shimmer Animation
Created a light sweep effect using a duplicated logo layer, a masked highlight, and animated mask path keyframes.
3D Layer Configuration
Enabled 3D layer properties to allow three-axis rotation while maintaining consistent world positioning.

Creation Process
Logo Motion Tracking
Motion tracked the Levi's logo into the scene using 3D camera tracking, keeping the logo spatially anchored
Typography Integration
Integrated modern “Focus” typography and applied motion tracking so the text remains locked to the scene’s perspective
Cinematic Lighting Effects
Added tracked lens flare layers to simulate optical light artifacts and enhance cinematic realism
Audio Integration
Layered recorded vocals over a royalty-free beat and synchronized cuts and transitions to the music through rhythmic editing.

Creation Process
Animated UI Reveals
Designed animated line reveals for “Subscribe” and “Watch More” sections using shape layers that expand outward from the center, functioning as mask-based reveal animations that uncover the text as the lines grow.
Implemented diagonal wipe animations to reveal accompanying text using animated shape layers as directional transition masks.
Social Media Motion Graphics
Built custom geometric motion graphics composed of smaller shape layers framing the Twitter and Twitch logos, creating a dynamic visual container for the social media elements.
Animated the social media logos using scale keyframes with eased overshoot (“rubber band” effect) to produce natural, elastic motion rather than linear scaling.
Logo Highlight Animation
Applied a moving shimmer / light sweep effect across the primary logo using masked highlights and opacity blending to create a polished motion-graphics finish.
Sensitivity Warning
The linked video includes a demonstration of hours of handcrafted, detail oriented Premiere Pro and After Effects work to vastly improve the appearance of video game content.
This is not a demonstration of video game playing, but of professional application of the below listed professional video editing techniques.
It contains screen recordings from a popular first-person shooter video game that, while mild, may be offensive to some. It also contains loud, hard rock music.
The video contains the following techniques:
3D generated motion tracked text, animations, and effects
Meticulous attention to deliberate synchronization of game effects and music (all audio is dubbed via tools like Sony Vegas Pro and Audacity, none comes from screen recordings)
Color correction via Adobe After Effects and optical lens flares to improve cinematic immersion
Handcrafted professional-grade overlays showcasing player names, created with Photoshop and After Effects
Position, rotation, and scale transformations to create dynamic movement not generated by the game
Color effects synchronized to music
And many more meticulously crafted, advanced Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop techniques.
This video I played a major role in producing has over 23,000 views and was published by the biggest Call of Duty PC team in the world. I worked as an active video editor producing professional grade media for them for many years.
